I collaborated with Bellingcat's open-source intelligence team to work on parts of the ENF matching process. I've started collecting European ENF data. You can check out a full writeup of the approach in my article about it, but the gist is that I found a server to misuse and started collecting ENF data from it.
I was forced to stop the data collection due to my ethics (and
lack of available money), but I learned a lot fromd doing it. In
my free time, I work on matching ENF data to real-world audio
samples, which allows for tamper verification, temporal
location, and (occasionally) geolocation. I’ll write a blog
about it when I have more to show, but for the moment I’m
learning a little bit about
Update July 12th, 2025: Unfortunately, I have to also do college applications, so this project has been put on hold for the time being. I expect to return to it in the second semester of my senior year.
